Monday, April 23, 2012 at 4:05PM Late last spring The North Face team gathered at Denali to do some high alpine climbing and ski mountaineering. Sage Catabriga Alosa, Ingrid Backstrom and Lukas Debari step out of their big mountain ski elements to team up with high alpine mountianeers like Conrad Anker and Jimi Chin along with a handfull of other TNF winter athletes put in some time up to 20,320 feet.

Monday, April 23, 2012 at 9:36AM Going into the spring season, probably not a bad idea to do some practice, or watch a refresher video. This instructional video from the Seattle Mountaineers is really well conducted, even if it is on dry land.
Monday, April 23, 2012 at 8:47AM Pretty cool to see things from the ski patrollers perspective in La Grave (this includes the local guides that act as volunteer patrollers from time to time as well). La Grave is a stripped down, simplified version of the way a ski area should be. All off-piste, natural terain and with no explosive avalanche work and a huge north facing area (la Meije) that is nearly impossible for snow control. La Grave looks to allow for some incredible skiing and ski mountaineering.
